Who We Are
The PS 124 Brooklyn PTA (Parent Teacher Association) is the most direct way for parents and guardians to become involved in their children’s school.
According to PTAlink.org:
Successful PTAs contribute to their schools in many ways: they educate parents about school curricula, school rules and procedures; provide opportunities to become involved in classroom and out-of-classroom activities; sponsor numerous enrichment programs and activities; run after-school programs; foster cooperative relationships between school staff and parents through community building activities; and raise funds to supplement the schools’ budgets.
But, we can’t do it without you!
On the third Wednesday of each month (unless otherwise noted), the PTA hosts a monthly meeting at 6:00PM in the Gym Space. During each meeting we discuss pertinent information, school business, upcoming events and make decisions on how our PTA funds will be spent. We offer free childcare for our school-aged children to everyone in attendance. Please reference the school calendar for meeting information.
