A conversation on implicit bias and racial anxiety

October 21, 2016

P.S. 261 is hosting an evening of conversation on how implicit bias and racial anxiety affect us all.

The whole community is invited to this event on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at 6:30 PM in the P.S. 261 auditorium, on 314 Pacific Street, in Brooklyn.

Alexis Johnson

Rachel Godsil

Leading the discussion will be Alexis McGill Johnson and Professor Rachel Godsil — founders of The Perception Institute, an organization that works with communities to reduce bias and discrimination and promote belonging. They have led workshops all over the country and appeared as experts in the national media, including on CNN, NPR, and MSNBC.

The event at P.S. 261 will explore how implicit bias and anxiety about difference can get in the way of our goals of authentic relationships and community building.

The evening is free and open to the public.
