Understanding challenging behavior

October 6, 2016

Here’s a worthwhile event for parents of young children: on Wednesday, October 14th from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, the Brooklyn Early Childhood Direction Center (ECDC) is hosting a free parent workshop on “Understanding the Meaning of Your Child’s Challenging Behavior.”

Topics include an overview of typical behavior in children (5 years ecdc-flyerand younger) and strategies to promote positive behavior in the home and in the community.

Where is it? The workshop will be held at the NYC United Cerebral Palsy Center in Brooklyn’s Midwood section — on 160 Lawrence Avenue (take an F train to the 18th Avenue stop and walk about a block toward Ocean Parkway, or the B and Q trains to Newkirk).

To attend, you need to pre-register by October 12th.  You can just call Karen Samet at (718) 907-3190.   Or send a pre-registration email with your name and number to brooklynecdc@ucpnyc.org and put “registration” in the subject line.
