uhlig-martinez-zohorasamiha.jpgToday the 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students had a visit from author, illustrator, and publisher, Elizabeth Uhlig.  Ms. Uhlig shared her artwork and her books with us.  She told us the stories behind her books.  We learned that she, like our students, has a writer’s notebook, that she carries with her wherever she goes!  Her notebook contains ideas and sketches that she later uses in her writing.  I hope that everyone enjoyed this visit as much as I did!     -Ms. Lane!

Holy smokes! That’s a really nice picture of Ms. Martinez, Nelly and Samiha and Eliz. Uhlig! I’m sorry I missed the visit.

Wow! Ms. Lane, you sure did a great job capturing what happened that day. I hope this inspires all the boys and girls to write and to write everyday. I, too, keep a writer’s notebook. In fact, I keep two. Maybe I can share some of my ideas with the students in the library.
Thank you for organizing this fantastic event.

Hi i went to a workshop where Elizabeth Uhlig spoke and i lost her business card with her contact information. I’m a teacher at PS 104 and i wanted to see if she can come to our school. Can you please e-mail me back if you have information on where i can contact the author. thank you very much.
