Richard on Air Pollution…

Hi, my name is Richard Z and I am interested in the gases that get released into the air causing air pollution.  This includes chemicals and anything else that can get you sick.  These gases come from factories, planes, trains, cars, and computers – anything that uses gas or electricity.  Electricity is made by power plants that burn fossil fuels like coal, oil, and natural gas.  One thing I learned is that if a lot of carbon dioxide comes into your body, the oxygen in the blood will decrease a lot.

When gases pollute the air, it can hurt people, plants, and animals.  Dirty air can make it harder for plants to clean our air.  Dirty air, like smoke, can bother people’s throats, noses, and eyes.  Carbon dioxide causes global warming too.  High temperatures can cause stronger storms and rising sea levels.  High temperature can hurt the earth.

Pollution is very powerful and very bad.
