You are right, the book is set in the future. The line “generations ago” was Jonas’ voice in that future looking back on the time generations before when the elders “wanted sameness” and decided to create the world he was living in.

where it says “There is no pain or choices, no war or feelings, and no hunger. It’s a perfect world,”

i thouhgt it would be better if it were to say “It was a perfect world,” instead of it is..

Students are using it when directed to, but not too often do they write independently on them. However it is the foundation of our technology integration program at PS124, because we post any multimedia work we do here — from writing, to scans of artwork, found images on the Internet and video.

I am an educational consultant from The Media Spot and I use it to organize all of our productions — posting lesson plans and assignments here, which we often project in front of classes to guide independent work.

The idea is for teachers to take over the administration of the blog network we’ve created at the end of the next school year.
